Banana eggnog pancake recipe
I modified a banana pancake recipe I found on the internet. Also remember this was used to feed four hungry guys. It will yield quite a few pancakes. Ingredients: 2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon granulated sugar 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 egg 1 1/2 cup eggnog * 1 cup milk or water (we were out of milk) 3 tablespoons melted butter 2 over-ripe bananas, mashed (i was taught as a child to use over-ripe bananas and prefer it as such, but ripe bananas will work as well) Steps: 1. Mix dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder and salt). I would suggest a sifter for the flour. It makes for fluffier pancakes and helps prevents lumpy batter. 2. Mix wet ingredients (egg, eggnog, butter and bananas). * The "1 cup milk or water" was added when i found the batter overly thick after mixing the wet and dry together. You may not need a full cup, so i suggest waiting until after you mix dry and wet ingredients together and only add enough until your satisfied with batter thickness. 3. Slowly stir dry ingredients into wet. This doesn't have to be at a crawl. We're just trying to prevent it from clumping and ending up with lumpy batter. 4. Heat griddle to medium high and oil or butter the pan. Pour the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Cook until pancakes are golden brown on both sides. I suggest double flipping as they liked to brown faster then the center would cook. Now I just need to work on my hash browns for next time. |

MirageMan!
Someones finally captured the determination and drive behind Batman on film... Chile! Mirage Man is a movie about a man whose trained himself for 20 years (apparently he didn't hear about the 6 month ninja school). Then puts on a mask and takes it to the street to defend the innocent. He even gets a police detective to "believe in him" (for more information on the formerly placed Batman/Mirage Man connection read Long Halloween). And beyond even that he gives that purple dinosaur whats coming to him... |

shape of an Internet Explorer, Form of a Firefox
So Windows tells me I have updates ready for download and installation. I click 'OK' and go about my multi-tab Firefox webjoy. Then it tells me I've got a new version of IE to upgrade to. I click 'OK' again and go back to my multi-tab Firefox webjoy. Then it tells me I need to restart. I click 'Not now' and finish up some of my multi-tab Firefox webjoy. I finish my multi-tab Firefox webjoy, restart my 'puter, and get ready to resume some multi-tab Firefox webjoy. Then I notice a new icon for IE that has a gold swoop. I realize it has replaced itself. Out of curiosity I click it to start... ...and find Microsoft has copied my multi-tab Firefox webjoy. Alright, it's not quite the same. But it does have multi-tab web browsing, and the search engine box in the top right corner. I was told that Microsoft was making a copycat of Firefox, just yesterday by Kahn. I just wasn't expecting it this morning and didn't expect it to look so unlike Explorer. I'ts not quite the same, but I haven't fiddled with all the functions yet. It doesn't seem to be able to spell check like Firefox 2 does. In the end we'll see what this is actually leading to, but it's an interesting step from Microsoft. One I expected a lot sooner... |

VS.
I Played some VS. with Kahn today. Starting to get a grasp of the system. It's a very unbalanced game. There some decks, not matter which cards you have or how you play them, you will lose. There is still something fun about it, but I know that it's destined for the land that Overpower and Pogs now reside in. Though I kinda want to make a fully customized Scud deck to play with. |

Jolt Cola
Ever since Jolt Cola hit the college scene in 1985, at least one question has gotten easier during finals: what’s going to keep me awake?
With a whopping 100 milligrams of caffeine, compared to Coca Cola’s 35 milligrams and coffee’s typical 55 milligrams, Jolt has risen in popularity during its two decades on the market.
The Rochester, N.Y.-based company has since increased production of Jolt products to six-packs, five different flavors and a gum line. Two sticks of Jolt gum, in Spearmint and Icy mint, contain caffeine equal to a cup of coffee, without any of the acids, bathroom breaks, spills or teeth stains.
The Jolt Cola Company sent out 25,000 trial packs to U.S. military installments around the world, and the gum is available in most college towns. So one is faced with another important question during finals: Why settle for a useless or single-purpose gum? Be it the gum or the drink - which is now illegal in Australia - Jolt’s tag line, "All the sugar and twice the caffeine," lives up to its unhealthy name and may just save your college career.

Breathe Deep You taste death as it burns your tongue It's nails scratch your throat It reaches your lungs and leaves it's mark A mark that spreads with each breath The taint flows to your mind And blackens the soul It devours you And you breathe deeper It leaves you to hack and wheeze yet you do not stop It's grip is too deep The strength to put it down Is much more than the strength to pick it up It doesn't have to break you You accept it in voluntarily It takes from you And gives nothing in return It will leave you hollow So long as you breathe deep |

DEEP BREATHS
Getting my daily supply of paint thinner while i work a on a belated birthday scuplt for Jay. I figure i've only got a handful of brain cells this stuff hasn't got to and after they're gone i won't have to worry anymore. I'll probably be starting a new Flickr account to track the progress of my artwork and display the final pieces (as i deleted my last one when i realized i don't take enough pics to justify having one). this one's gonna be an interesting challenge. i need to go and pic some supplies after i get paid. oh yeah btw, i'm keeping a 'current projects' section on my myspace for the time being. i suppose i may get too overloaded with school stuff to keep it up though. |

getting stir crazy... want to go to garin park. now. wonder how much trouble i'd get into if i were caught there in the middle of the night? maybe i'll just hop on BART tomorrow and get off at a random stop and explore where ever i end up. i wish i had physical wings, flight is so much more convenient and fun than this damned walking. the ability to catch a breeze and ride it for a few miles sounds so nice. maybe i'll look into becoming a bird... but i need to do something a little more immediate about the stir crazy thing... |

Space-Ben | You Should Rule Saturn | Saturn is a mysterious planet that can rarely be seen with the naked eye.
You are perfect to rule Saturn because like its rings, you don't always follow the rules of nature. And like Saturn, to really be able to understand you, someone delve beyond your appearance.
You are not an easy person to befriend. However, once you enter a friendship, you'll be a friend for life. You think slowly but deeply. You only gain great understanding after a situation has past. | ( More... ) |
